Dr. Blair and Dr. Barber's office is equipped with the latest state of the art computerized imaging systems: including dental education in all aspects of dentistry, top of the line laser whitening systems, and intra-oral cameras. The doctors understand that our patient's needs will be different and they will design a treatment plan tailored to that specific patient. Be assured that treatment will proceed in a comfortable, gentle and friendly atmosphere.

This is where we introduce our dentists and give you a little background about each one but first we must introduce Heather, our office manager.  From you initial phone call and everything to do with scheduling, to making sure your insurance forms are properly filled out and presented to you before you leave at each visit and generally making sure you are happy with all aspects of your relationship with our office, SHE IS THE MAN, WELL ACTUALLY THE LADY!

Dr. Manning Barber

Dr. Manning Barber received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in Portland. He received his dental degree (Doctor of Medical Dentistry) from the University of Oregon Dental School. He has completed a post graduate program at the University of Southern California in Gnathology (tempromandibular joint). He served two years in the Army Dental Corp, at Fort Ord, California.  He and his twin brother have been successful, practicing dentists in the San Diego area for decades.  Everyone who has met Dr. Barber, loves him because of his fatherly, caring attitude toward every patient and each treatment procedure.  He is truly the modern day, Dr. Marcus Welby, of dentistry.  If you recognize that name, you'll really appreciate, Dr. Barber's warm personal, attention.
Dr. Barber is a lifetime member of the San Diego County Dental Society and the California Dental Association. He is a member of the Society of Oral Physiology and Occlusion, the American Society of Anesthesia, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Dr.Barber and his wife Darlene have been happily married for 45 years. They have three children and 11 grandchildren. Dr. Barber currently serves as a deacon in his church. He loves racing sailboats and has developed equipment for sailboats that enhances their speed.

Dr. Roger Blair
 
Dr. Blair is our long term chief financial officer.  He has been responsible for helping us rebuild the stable sussessful practice that Dr. Don Schutte started over 50 years ago here in LaJolla. 
 
Dr. Blair's primary goal is to make sure all of our existing patients are treated well and that we continue to grow and expand.  His focus for 2008 is to bring in a really committed long term, new owner dentist to work with DR. Barber, so that the office hours and services can continue to expand. 
 
Dr. Blair also handles all things financial, so if you don't have insurance, need extensive dental treatment, are having problems with financial matters, he is the guy to contact.  "As much as is humanly possible, we will not let financial considerations keep any patient from receiving the best quality dental care they desire".  He is ready, willing and more that interested in giving group discounts, referral credits and large adjustments for extensive treatment plans.  Your health and smile are too critical to let finances prevent you from getting the best dental care possible.
