Like most dental offices we strive to be as convenient for our patients as possible. Naturally with all the beaches, restaurants, and shopping in the LaJolla Village and the WindanSea area we encourage our patients to make a day of it. Why not get your smile whittened and enjoy a leasurely meal or catch a few of those inviting waves? Our normal office hours start at 9:00 am and we schedule our last patient at 4:00 pm every Monday through Friday. However, Dr. Barber really enjoys early morning hours and is willing to see patients as early as 7:30 and both dentists are willing to stay late if the occasional need should arise. However, we also offer UNIQUE CUSTOM HOURS! This is a special program designed for our patients who have busy schedules Monday through Friday but find themselves in need of extensive dental treatment. (Crowns, Multiple Fillings, Veneers, etc.) This program also works well for those patients who prefer to "be the only person in the office" and want to make sure they are the sole focus of their dentist and the staff." Here is how this scheduling program works. Once you have become part of our patient family, you will be presented with a complete treatment plan before any work is started. If you see that longer appointments are going to be required, you may request a custom appointment. This appointment may be at night, Saturdays, even Sunday afternoons! However, naturally we have to arrange for both the dentist and support staff to be there so these appointments must be arranged farther in advance. Also, we must be completely assured that you are going to show up. Therefore, you will be required to pay 50% of the fee for the services you are going to receive at the time you set up the appointment and the other 50% when the procedures are completed. If you fail to show up without giving us at least a 48 hour notice, you will forfeit the initial 50% payment and those funds will be used to pay the staff and dentist for their inconvenience. Our low fees remain the same, even for these custom appointments, but we cannot offer any of the usual discounts or specials because of the increased costs of both dentist and staff.
